Principal, Viejas Enterprise Microgrid | Alpine, CA Oversaw site design and grading for the battery yard, generator shelter, and 12kV routing for 60 MW of energy storage provided for the Viejas Tribe of Kumeyaay Indians. The battery yard and generator shelter cover over 3.3 acres and the project included grading of an existing hillside to bring fill into the site, provided direction and coordination with the geotechnical engineer to create suitable soil, and designed subterranean drainage systems around the perimeter. Over 160 solar panel structures are installed around the site to provide the energy for storage and ground elevations were provided for all the mounts. 12kV routing spanned over 3 miles, checked crossings with all existing utilities.
Project Manager, The Terraces | Lemon Grove, CA Brought in by new owner after approved entitlements. During construction drawings, the project went through multiple internal revisions by the Water District and through reviews and meetings, agreed to utilize a design inline with current industry standards. During design, issues were discovered with the original grading on all 3 sides of the project and the existing drainage outfall was not properly conveying runoff. This issue occurred on County of San Diego property and required County approval and permission to grade from neighbor. Worked with the City and County to upsize off-site sewer system.
Project Manager, Riverview | Santee, CA Project manager for original client throughout preliminary site design, entitlements, and start of construction drawings. During construction drawings, worked with client to prepare documents and exhibits for sale to new client. Worked with new client to make minor revisions to the site and plans. Project site covered 5.4 acres and surface water ran to the river to the north while sewer connected to the south. This conflicting condition required a sewer lift station on the project. Project processed a CLOMR-F to remove the boundary out of the FEMA floodplain. Wrote an SWQMP and Drainage report and was one of the first projects allowed to use a proprietary water treatment system.
Project Manager, R-25A Apartments | Chula Vista, CA. Oversaw the project from preliminary layouts, through entitlements, and all construction drawings and mapping. Worked with owner and architect to come up with a site design for 400 apartment units across 20 buildings (townhomes and apartment buildings) and a shared amenities facility. The site covered 12.1 acres and included 12’ of retaining walls along the south and easterly side of the site. Due to the density of the site, connection and the number of units, there were utility crossings to be modified around the entire site. Project was part of an outdated master plan for storm water treatment. Worked with the engineer of the master plan to update reports and calculations to prove sizing of existing basins was sufficient for treatment, retention, detention, and hydromodification.
